The installation is a sonic experience built around the phenomenon of auditory hallucinations. It invokes a sense of curiosity, creates a universe of possibilities and is filled with attempts at definition. Different sites across the campus are mapped to specific sounds. This movement from one location to another creates a trail. The curated sounds are those of unattended tasks and upon encountering them the participants are impelled to localise the source. Moving through the soundscape intended to provoke and coax the ear, participants confront a perceptual dilemma – are they really hearing what or from where, they think are hearing?
