Jorge Soler, now with the Atlanta Braves, came to Thunder Bay in 2010 for the U18 Baseball World Cup. This clip of Soler in an at-bat in the bronze medal game showed off his approach at the plate and a vicious swing that surely had scouts projecting him as a potential professional player. The clip is followed by a reply of an Andy Ibanez, Texas Rangers, hitting a key home run that put the Cuban Nationals into the lead, a lead they never relinquished on the way to capturing the Bronze Medal in the tournament.
