A tachograph chart is produced by a device fitted to large vehicles like buses and trucks whose driving routes and patterns are closely regulated and monitored by authorities to measure speed, driving and pausing hours and to follow itineraries. Astronomy as a directioning tool has evolved into global positioning systems (gps) and other route and mapping technologies, yet ancestor travellers, when reading the sky for their journeys, read more than the coordinates.
The set of tachograph posters expand the details and dimensions that go on record, as they include layers of the vehicle’s interaction with its surroundings, be it its star and coordinates’ measurements, the soundscapes, temperatures, textures and all the inner and outer locations that these factors take the driver’s mind or soul to.
Sky constellations are imaginary figurative drawings, created by astronomers, artists and poets to give familiar shapes to the overwhelming network of celestial bodies.
