What is WARP, how does it work, and what does it mean for those in BC living in wildlife country? The Wildlife Alert Reporting Program (WARP) is a program developed by WildSafeBC to enable the public to view reports made to the Conservation Officer Service regarding wildlife in British Columbia. These reports are downloaded daily and made available on an interactive map. You can also sign up for alerts and decide what species and area you are interested in.

Learn about WARP through this short video or by going to wildsafebc.com/programs/what-is-warp/

If you see a bear, cougar or wolf in a residential area, or urban setting, you are encouraged to report the sighting to the RAPP line at 1-877-952-7277. Wildlife that is in conflict, injured, or behaving unusually or aggressively, should also be reported.

You can reduce human-wildlife conflicts by learning more about local wildlife in your area and following best practices described at wildsafebc.com
