Thirteen inmates in the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center received certificates of completion Thursday from the Growth and Leadership Life Skills Training Series. This 12-week training lead by Pikes Peak Community College helps participants reinvent their lives by learning life skills and creating plans for their future. “‘Reinventing your life’ and the steps that followed gave me the opportunity to take a step out and away from myself, from the shell of me, and take an honest look at my character,” said Alexander Ruiz, one of the participants in the class.
