His own mother, a teacher, advised him not to study for math because she knew he was good at other things. "Which was super risky because it's a career suicidal thing for someone to progress into the workforce without a maths qualification. She knew that as long as I set my mind towards doing something, I'd definitely do it and see it through. I could have been a professional juggler if I wanted and she'd have let me do it. So don't stand in the way of what kids think they can do because I promise that will pay out later in life."
