Ken Clay a proud native of Louisville. He is President & CEO of Ken Clay & Associates, a national arts & special events consulting firm. He is also the founder of Legacies Unlimited Inc., a non-profit community arts organization. Over the past several decades, Ken has played a significant role in the development, implementation and exposure of the arts in Louisville, the state and the nation.

As former Vice- President of Programming for the Kentucky Center for the Arts, Ken oversaw all programming that the Kentucky Center itself presented. He created the Midnite Ramble Series as a tribute to the memory of Louisville’s Walnut Street era and created the “Jazz in Central Park,” “Jazz Cabaret and “World Rhythms Series and the “Great Kentucky Gospel Shout Out” which involved local state and national gospel groups. He also was founder and initial organizer of ArtReach, the Kentucky Center’s community outreach program,

Prior to working with the Kentucky Center, Ken co-founded Renaissance Development Corporation under which he presented arts programming to the Louisville community and developed the first statewide survey of Kentucky Minority Artists and produced the first Minority Artist Conference held in Kentucky.

In 2017, Ken was presented an Honorary of Doctorate of Humanities Degree from Simmons College of Kentucky in recognition of his lifetime contributions to the Louisville community and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

He currently serves as President of Legacies Unlimited, a non-profit art presenting organization in Louisville, which presents art, cultural and musical events in Louisville

He is a recipient of numerous awards including the Governors Community Arts Award, Actors Theatre’s “Keeper of the Flame Award” and was a recipient of the 2010 Central High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Award. He also received a 2019 Americana Community Center Dreamer Award. Ken is co-author of the book, Two Centuries of Black Louisville... A Photographic History, for which he received the Louisville Historical League’s History Award.

For the past 18 year’s Ken has served as Entertainment Producer for the City of Louisville’s annual international festival known as WorldFest and annually presents “Celebrating the Legacy of Black Louisville,” at the KCAAH in recognition of the achievements and contributions that Black Louisvillian’ s have made to Louisville and the World.

Ken Clay is married to Carolle Jones Clay and is a doting father and grandfather.
