12 years ago, in late June 2009, there was nothing happening in Provo, Utah. As such, I called a bunch of people and we made a basement dance party music video to the 1996 Club dance song, "D.J. Girl" by Katalina.

Eddie Nuñez was the DJ, and he brought the DJ lights and provided the location. Seth Jeppesen was an easy casting choice as the bouncer, and I hadn't cast the DJ Girl part until about an hour after we started filming. A few people had started learning the lines and were practicing, but then Jill came in a bit late (having just handed off baby Dylan to the sitter), dressed perfectly, with the lines already memorized. She crushed it.

Megan Judd Stitt choreographed the chorus choreography, which was perfect, and Sarina had the best look of the evening (she was wearing a walkman and headphones to the "club" – who does that? She does that).

Nathan Cashion was an excellent production assistant and Laine Thomas Shapiro filmed some behind the scenes footage.

Tons of great people came to dance their hearts out. A few I noticed while editing this include Brent Friess, Summerisa Bell Stevens, Paul Cave, Jen Robinson, Laura Bellamy, Travis Sorenson, John Gibbons, Lance Evanson, Cortney Haymond and many more.

I filmed this and it basically sat on a hard drive until today, because... I have had too many projects. But I love this one dearly, for many reasons. I hope you all can enjoy it.
