These are extraordinary times.
WaterFire Providence is an extraordinary organization.
WaterFire faces an extraordinary crisis.

For 25 years WaterFire has been transforming place and building community in downtown Providence with impacts that reach into every corner of Rhode Island. More recently, with the opening of the WaterFire Arts Center in the underserved Valley/Olneyville neighborhood, we make world-class art, like Berlin artist Ryan Mendoza’s The Rosa Parks House Project and British artist Luke Jerram’s Museum of the Moon, accessible for all. We believe in and are committed to #Art4Impact.
WaterFire is an iconic Rhode Island institution.

Unfortunately, we’ve had to indefinitely postpone the WaterFire season and shut the doors of the WaterFire Arts Center, losing the earned revenue on which our work depends. We need your help—now more than ever—to get us through this financial crisis.

The WaterFire Relief Fund will help alleviate the anticipated catastrophic impact on our organization, programs, and dedicated creative workforce who are the heart and soul of our vibrant organization. Funding will be used to support the retention of WaterFire Providence’s full-time staff as we transition to virtual and alternative programming in the WaterFire Arts Center and beyond.

Please consider making a gift that will allow WaterFire to survive these unprecedented times, remain strong, and produce public events and reopen the arts center when circumstances allow.

We believe that in times of crisis like this there is an even greater need for art like WaterFire that brings us together, celebrates our differences, and provides hope for the future. Together we are living through an important moment of history. It’s all the more important, therefore, that our response fits this moment.

Thank you for your ever generous support. It makes a real difference.

Please stay healthy, well, and safe.
