In Leifers, South Tirol, VOG Products manufacture liquid, bulk and ready to market products from various fruits. A yearly capacity of approximately 350,000 tons of raw material, during the high season, even 4,000 tons a day are produced.

VOG Products relies on Flottweg separation technology for the production of fruit juice. The delivered fruits first are ongoing a quality inspection. Afterwards, washed, sorted and temporarily stored in silos. Using flushing water, the fruits are then transported to the production lines. There, the fruits are crushed and pressed by using the Flottweg belt press. The belt press processes approximately 25,000 kilos raw material per hour. At roughly 75% yield, approximately 18,000 kilos of juice are produced. The extracted NFC - juice is clarified using a Flottweg disc stack centrifuge in order to remove the coarse particles, to obtain a stable turbidity in the juice and to avoid subsequent deposits in the bottle. Finally, the juice is pasteurized and then stored in aseptic conditions.

Meran Thomas, the operations manager at VOG Products, is particularly happy about the continuous processing of the fruits and the high quality of the fruit juice.
Moreover, he commends the Flottweg Soft Shot® discharge system. The crucial advantage is that this system enables a flexible change of partial and total discharges.
That offers the possibility to adjust the discharge sequence very precisely.
