These Warriors from Collegiate Prep Academy are celebrating the installation of an all-gender restroom sign.

(Crowd) "About the Warriors... we feel good!"

A sign of things to come in Denver Public Schools… as *every* DPS school and facility will have at least one all-gender restroom.

"Another round of applause for CPA for hosting us..." (Applause)

Denver Board of Education Member Tay Anderson introduced the resolution, which passed unanimously in January.

"But I know that when every single one of us goes home at night, the restroom at home is all gender. So this is doing nothing but saying let’s make sure we have an inclusive space for all of our students."

(Narrator)
Students in the GSA SPECTRUM group here at C-P-A say, they feel heard, and seen.

"I just want to say thank you to DPS for letting this happen. It’s been a long time waiting. It’s been really exciting to be here today. And kind of just get out there and feel accepted."

"As somebody that does identify as non-binary, and hopefully in the future will transition to a male, this is really heartwarming and I feel like DPS and everybody has really opened up to hearing our prayers and pushes that we have. And they've really helped out."

The restrooms are for everyone. Because everyone, should feel comfortable … being themselves in a school.

"Us as a world is becoming more inclusive and engaging everyone. All genders, all gender expression, everything like that. So I feel like this is a great step forward."
