This video shows the normality of Massimo’s condition: normal, but not man. He works with an enourmous paper face mask – that doesn’t allow him to see – and his hammer is a piece of a railtrack. The paper cartel he exhibits is a precise statement. Althought he can’t see, he works as well. Althought he’s a man since his birth, his body can wear the drawn anatomy he lacks. It’s not a prosthesis, but a poetic sign. Paper on the head, paper as surface to write on, paper as anatomy: it’s a common, cheap and variable material, but it’s the best to express the polymorphous tasks of a nonbinary person.
