Today hung out at a local celebration to preview Indigenous Day next week June 21 19. Small pow wow and gathering at Princess & E Hastings Streets. Kat was MC of event. She sang and played the drum, too. Salmon burgers were served to the public. They tasted good! Video is a grand entry of Pow Wow dancers. Drummers played and sang to accompany the dancers at the small Pow Wow. This Pow Wow was more for exhibition. Not a complete Pow Wow. Usually a real Pow Wow starts Friday & finishes on a Sunday or so.. Sometimes people camp out. People travel a long ways to attend like Crow Pow Wow. Some Pow Wows are tradish. Were more traditional long time ago. Pow Wow stems from Plains Culture: Northern & Southern styles. Singers singer higher mostly in Canada. S US sing in lower voices. I made a video about the Pow Wow-Song Journey: women who sing the traditional and non traditional style of Pow Wow songs, US & Canada. A Good day today.
