I Get High On Your Memory is a culmination of artwork created over the course of a year as part of my final Fine Art degree project at University of Suffolk. Each individual frame was created using digital collage in which I either worked from a found image or created the whole piece from scratch using music, pop culture and youth culture as my influence. I hope the piece comes across as a form of modern nostalgia, celebrating past and more current times, relatable to several generations and even a little reminiscent of night club visuals. I collaborated with DJ Yoda on the sound that has been attached to the video.
I Get High On Your Memory was intended to be presented as a immersive experience, intended to be projected on a large scale directly onto a wall with disco lights and a bubble machine. Due to the current pandemic this is no longer possible but either way I do hope you get enjoyment from watching my finished artwork.
