Rory: Ride onboard with me for Race 3 at Donington Park in 2019.
We had started the day back in 19th after a disappointing qualifying but fought back to score an 11th and 5th in the earlier races.
Now in Race 3 I would start from 6th on the reverse grid. I didn’t win this race or even step onto the podium, but I crossed the finish line ahead of any other driver on the less favourable Hard tyre and I remember feeling like this was a mini victory at the time!
Also, look at the respect between Tom and I down the Craner Curves. It was a fun race with great racing!
Next up was the super fast Thruxton and I was beginning to build some momentum!
