We went into the desert with Vlada, professional pole-dance trainer & pole-fit studio owner here in Dubai. We had the idea to film something unique, something different that would capture people's imagination and keep their attention. This was a great example of a simple idea that was not impossible, but at least a challenge, to execute. After finding an awesome spot with high ground, where there were rolling sand dunes for as far as the eye could see, all we had to do was hope for good light and a gentle breeze. The light ended up being tricky in the beginning, with a lot of cloud cover, but then the sun came out and we managed to get the shots were hoping for. Vlada was absolutely amazing. The shapes she can make on the pole were just unreal and I still get surprised when I look back at the footage thinking, how the hell can she do some of this stuff! A super fun passion project filmed by Lew & Bram, with Lew getting the drone shots & Bram on camera. There was one additional camera set up on a tripod.
