After a month of preproduction, a full 12 hour day of shooting, and 2 full days of editing, my fan-made music video for "Everything" by KOTA the Friend is finally here!

In this fan-made music video, Herb, a lonely loser, leaves his former life behind him to pursue everything.

I discovered KOTA quite recently when his song "Smile" popped up in my Spotify recommended. I immediately fell in love and listen through the entire album that very night. The next day, while sanding my deck, I put on my headphones and played all of his albums. Never have I felt so connected and relaxed with an artist. He's honest, self-aware, chill, and sincere. No other artist can fix your mental flat tire so quickly. "Everything", the final song on the album of the same name has got to be my favourite of his. I related to it so much I immediately started brainstorming ideas for a short film based on the song. After a while, I decided to take a leap and dip my toes into a lake I have never swum in before. This is my first ever music video, and I would have never made it if it weren't for KOTA's fantastic music.

I would like to infinitely thank my friends Mya, Aly, and Med for helping me with the massive undertaking which was the day of the shoot. You guys are super amazing and I'm super lucky to have you guys as friends. It was an amazing fun day. I also want to thank my parents for being super supportive by financing the project and lending their voices as actors.
