So a lot of women wonder if they should be completely finished
having children before getting a breast lift.
I like this topic because it's not super black and white.
No, it's not. We know a lot of people here that
had breast lifts before having kids
because they wanted to really enjoy their results
whether or not they were going to have kids.
Some people have no idea.
Is it going to happen in 2 years, 10 years?
But if it's like we're having kids in 16 months
then maybe you should wait to have a lift.
I think having a conversation with your surgeon
about your expectations and about the longevity of your results
is really important when it comes to this.
My sister had a breast lift at 21 years old, wasn't married,
had no intention of having children in the next couple of years,
got to enjoy her results, breastfed just fine
and then went on 10 years later to have a little tweaking of her lift.
I think this is a really individual decision that we can't definitively
tell you your breasts won't change if you go on
to have a pregnancy and breastfeed for a year afterwards.
So I really think if you're debating on having a breast lift
before having kids, you need to chat with a surgeon.
Definitely, and for some people when they breastfeed,
they get really engorged, some have a very small supply.
So again, it's really hard to be able to say,
“Oh, you should definitely wait” or
“Oh, you don't need to wait”, because everyone's so different.
So having that honest conversation with your surgeon
will really just give you the best plan for you.
So go talk to them. That's right.
