I've been obsessed with 16mm film of late, so I thought It would be fun to try and replicate a similar aesthetic with a modern digital camera (BMPCC4K). Obviously they will never be the same, as film has so many unique characteristics, but it was a lot of fun to shoot and edit, and that's what counts most... having fun! :-)
Music: Castlebeat - East Coast (Spirit Goth Records)
I shot this video entirely handheld (24fps) using two Canon FD lens (35 f2.8 + 35-105 f3.5), Metabones Speed Booster, as well as a Black Pro Mist filter. Grain overlay is from Tropic Colour and all grading was done in Davinci Resolve. Massive shoutout to RAKK Productions who have a killer tutorial online on nailing the film halation effect in Davinci.
