In television broadcasting, a commercial bumper or 'bump' is the transition between a program and a commercial break. For the impromptu exhibition slash television show Cold Open: A Live Show at ISO I made a series of animated bumpers to play in between the programming.

This public event was commissioned by the Dirty Art Department. The 22 participants of the masters program agreed on the format of a late night show after a week long workshop with curator Matteo Luchetti.
During the 2 weeks we took to prepare this show, the question of us being able to act as a collective was posed, fantasized, ignored and confronted with the reality of our education.
In the end, we made what is ostensibly a live TV show broadcasting platform. It incorporated simultaneous happenings revolving around a speech/image/props production line. This encompassed panel talks, workshops, games, exclusive video material, and a variety of music performances. Within the ISO Amsterdam space we built a film set from excess materials, functioning as both an installation and an active site of production.
