"Mama Africa" is a documentary that aims to address the culture of Yoruba communities in Nigeria and Afro-descendant communities in Venezuela through a look at their cultural and social religious system within their communities in various states of Nigeria such as Lagos, Ado Ekity Osogbo, and Bobures, Palmarito, Congo Mirador Zulia State Venezuela.
"Mama Africa" travels along what we know as "The Slave Route" between Oyo Nigeria and the Caribbean. This documentary is part of the intercultural integration policies that UNESCO has advanced.
"Mama Africa" promotes the visualization of the rich history, joys and
potentialities of the African continent as well as the daily lives and struggles for the inclusion of the cultures and ways of being of the afro-descendant citizens that make up the Diaspora settled in our country and in the Caribbean, a product of the reality that emerged from the slave trade and the processes of slavery and emancipation in Latin America
