Over 8 billion animals are currently living on our planet - next to 8 billion human beings. This experimental short brings these two worlds together and juxtaposes the sorrows of two young immigrants stuck in Luxembourg with the mysterious existence of a series of animals left behind in a zoo closed because of pandemic lockdowns.
Bio:
Thierry Mousset (born 1992) is a director and filmmaker from Luxembourg. After graduating from Cambridge, he directed his first play (Danse Macabre) at the Kasematthentheater in Luxembourg and was invited in 2018 to the Berlin Theatertreffen Festival as a dramaturg of Thorsten Lensing's Infinite Jest. Last year he directed at the Luxembourg Grand Théâtre South, a play starring Luc Schiltz, Meike Droste and Andreas Lust. Thierry is a Fulbright scholar at UC Berkeley where he's currently working on a new short movie, before starting rehearsals in 2022 for a new play with Devid Striesow and André Jung at the Salzburg Festival.
