Play, download and edit the free video Cosmoball Previs Early Development Animation Reel 2020.

During 2018 I had the opportunity to work with Main Road Post and director Dzhanik Fayziev and help provide them with the previs animation for the movie Cosmoball released August 2020. Working closely with the Animation Director Josh Riley we managed to deliver all work remotely between Moscow, Amsterdam and Los Angeles.

As an animator I usually concern myself with the details within a shot but with Previs I really got to expand on my film making skills, working camera, timing animation and helping design the action. I learned tons during this process as Dzhanik Fayziev has real energy about him and was always looking for the rhythm within the sequence. There was a lot of creative freedom at this stage of the project and ideas flew back and forth which made it a great experience over all.

I did quite some more work and later also animated a few shots for final animation but these are my favorite parts of the pre-production i was involved with, hope you enjoy.
