This short film is about the year our parents migrated to Canada as refugees from Guatemala. We wanted to show case our piece of Ontario, Canada, the one we grew up in and started a new life.
We are decendents of Guatemalan, Mayan, German, Chinese and Hungarian Ancestors,
(Mixed Race) women. First generation settlers on this land which is the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas. This was our first collaborative piece and we're just getting started.
