This was the question popped out when I saw the news of an android named Mindar preaching sermons in a Japanese 400-year-old Buddhist temple.
It gave me the imagine of Buddha existing in data and systems of artificial intelligence. The path of pilgrims attaining Buddhahood is the process of self digitization, merging into the infinite system and sutras data, ascending into the Nothingness. This process is like a system upgrade. When the new program overwrites the old one, is it upgraded or been engulfed?
Human beings reached out for higher technology to seek for the breakthrough of civilization and intelligence, is it a upgrade process or an engulfment?
