THE CONNECTION OF EVERYTHING

A year-long journey of meditation and reflection of all things in my mind’s-eye , past, present and future. Everything is connected… All of it! From the belly of the atom to the infinity of all things, microscope to telescope, all is one. The physical and invisible structure of everything. I draw life as I see and feel it, love, frustration, fear, awkwardness etc. observing life and time like flowing water…no ends no beginnings, just paths to a new moment. I rest my mind to sleep at night with thoughts and visions of the unanswered...
Trillions of worlds spinning like our little rock in the Milky Way galaxy. Civilizations being born by the second and others in their death cycle, as only seconds past. At every single moment, all is happening. My days are filled with the noise of the city, it reminds me of the quiet in the woods. Mass population takes me to the solitude of the many moons that keep balance and movement in my thoughts and our solar systems, my hiding place. Scientific theories haunt my uneducated mind…ignorance is bliss and acts as a key to create the impossible. Cites, tubes tunnels and wires connecting our secrets through time and space, string theory to give us a possible map. Buildings sprouting though nature's soil turned to solid cement. Toxic takeovers born from greed.
I visualize past, present and future all in the time I suck a cigarette down. My memories of environments, scent and mood shape the images I draw. Growing up in the city born in a blackout waking as a teen in the desert landscape influenced by my dreams and reality, my mind walks with a slant. I feel lost tribes in my thoughts, lost truths in my meditation in our world's skewed historical facts. I draw rusty wheels and pulley systems to move the thoughts along, seeking truth. Are monsters real? Are we the monsters? Frequently, I see a man on the corner eating meals from the trash…it's a reminder to make good choices. It's a reminder that things need to be rebuilt. I draw as a reporter, with a bit of humor, what I see and feel, what I think! it's a ride that I seek out daily.
There's plenty of life in our universe and beyond, don't ever feel alone on your path, its all a connection of everything.
