Fifth in a serie of 6 short videos called "Orienta", a spanish word play between, to orient someone and the feminine of Orient-East, the place where the sun rises.

I asked all the collaborators of my 2021 research dance and illustration project "TRATADO BOTÁNICO DE ILUSTRACIÓN COREOGRÁFICA" to guide me with their voices through my earbuds, in a dance, poetry and movement generator experience. We always did it in an intimate and wild nature landscape they chose, at the end of our research week that took me to their places.

For this fifth experience, we came across something new. I wanted so badly to do this experience with all the collaborators, but this time we really weren’t in a symbiotic mood with the practice, it was raining and we were tired. But I made us to do it, and sure enough it was frustrating, it wasn’t pleasant. Now I realize that in 6 weeks of residency this was the ONLY thing I forced. Anyway, we learned so much. So, I asked the performer and Ayurvedic masseuse Lise Vermot to guide me with his natural and lovely voice through the memories of our sound, painting and body practices, the uses of the erotic, comunity-feminine-sacred dreams, the elementals, bike rides and the description of the visible and non-visible of the landscape that surrounded us.

This video, edited by me, is a short editing from the original 25 minutes video and it was recorded in Josaphat Park, Brussels, the 22th June, 2021.

For this video, after one hour of editing, I realized that nothing was working and that I couldn't face it. I was trying to fake something with the editing of this video that was not good for us. I was forcing it again. Shit. So, I decided to start again and I made this short editing, just accelerating the speed. Transforming the voice in a forgotten ancient language and the dance in a one line drawing. And I really enjoyed to dissolve the attachment I got with the unity of the 6 videos. Transforming frustration into poetry and weakness as my flag with a soft spot in the middle.
