A sound design project made while in university, submitted in 2018 as my final assignment for the subject of Video and Sound for Multimedia.

The purpose of this assignment was to work on sound design in the context of animation, namely in the fields of foley and dubbing. The teacher provided us with several muted clips of previously existing animated material and asked us to choose one to rework, of which I chose this scene from "The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!", released theatrically in 2012.

The lines are spoken in European Portuguese. The teacher also provided us a script to record, although I made a few alterations to mine, so some of the words could fit better with the characters' mouth movements.

I voiced all the main male characters in the clip, including the dodo (the bird). For the background ambience and laughter, I got some friends and family involved. Regarding the sound effects, I recorded about 85% of what is heard in the clip, from the mushy paper to the characters steps.

Project realised while doing my Bachelor's degree in Electronic Music and Music Production at the School of Arts of the Castelo Branco Polytechnic Institute (ESART-IPCB), Portugal.
