In 2021, Escape Studio partnered with several animation schools of Europe to organize the very first Summer of Unreal, a 4 weeks long intensive formation-showcase of Unreal Engine.
All the participating teams had to make a group project at the end of the 4 weeks, with the common theme : An Unreal Summer.

This is our team 20's project.

Still quite unfinished (we spent 3 of the 4 weeks in preprod, the preprod Miro itself is a work of art ^^), most of us were not only complete beginners in Unreal Engine, we were also all busy with work on the side, so we could only get seriously at it all together only in the last 2 days of the workshop. Despites that, we actually managed to get some footage that looked so much more advanced than what you see here, but in the end we ran out of time to complie them all together, which is why you're seeing this mishmash of halfcooked footage, with incomplete lighting, animations, and cameras).

But after the Summer of Unreal, we'll get definitely back at it and finish it as much as it deserves. After all, for a team of mostly complete beginners in Unreal Engine, it was pretty encouraging to have been able to already do so much within just a few days of work. Looking forward to see what it will look like once fully completed.
