SYNOPSIS:
A thin sliver of light curves around a tiny drop of liquid. Inside there is movement. The birth of any creature is a special moment but this baby will remain in its baby-state for the whole of its life meaning that this remarkable species can regenerate itself. It's a miracle that could hold the key to transforming millions of human lives. Scientists have recently deciphered the genome of the axolotl but they are working with clones whose genetic diversity is limited. Wild axolotl are desperately needed if this future is to be realized but human expansion into their habitat, polluted water and invasive species have decimated their numbers. Last year a survey found just 100 remaining. Is it too late to save this vital species and revolutionize the health for millions of humans..........or can help come from a highly unusual team of experts.
