Experimental dance film Pulsar thematically relies upon the vastness of space and next to it issues of science fiction realizations, which are inspired by literary and film classics of that genre. Choreographic exploration of the body that adjusts to the changed physical conditions, different gravitation and unknown biospheres reflects characteristics of pulsars especially quick rotation, spiral movement, contracting and pulsating.

Dance vocabulary takes in consideration a posture of the body and mechanisms of its motion in changed circumstances, as well as choreographic and editing decisions regarding the composition of movement, the composition of image, the transition between frames, the perception of time and space. Bearing in mind the dystopian projections that are so often found in the science fiction genre, continuously emphasized activities are juxtaposed to the abandoned spaces and bodies, and their collision shapes are possible directions of the narrative imagining.

Since Pulsar is an experimental film, course of events does not follow classic storyline but instead, content and the atmosphere itself suggest a possible interpretation. Such narrative with poetic and philosophical thread to it and in a shape of “character’s interior monologue” suggests the backwaters that could be developed into a separate film stories but instead are left in the „embryonic stage” and in that manner inciting viewer to think about the modern life. To think over a life burdened with the imperative of success and overwhelmed by visual stimuli, a life that can easily slip into the apocalyptic wilderness.
