This January we took a chance to see how big the swell was and came across a legendary woman surfer riding the biggish swell. MAYA GABIERA is perhaps the top woman Big Wave Surfer and she was flying on the waves. This is a video that shows a glimpse of her skills ( and that off the jet ski rider too ).
A mesmerising performance and a good opportunity to understand swell, waves and what is required to ride them Essential skills for the surfski paddler as well.
