allo is the creative alter ego of, Dallas painter, Manuel Herrera. On the surface, allo is a prefix that means “different,” which has been his rally cry to ‘be different from the beginning.’ At its core, the allo mark is three basic shapes that can be used to create anything.
Triangle. Square. Circle

Herrera’s paintings are an arrangement of simple, unique shapes, not one of them identical in form or color. It’s chaotic and calm. Multi-faceted and minimal. His work is a celebration of simple shapes, movement and color. It’s proof that anything can be stripped down, simplified and still be stunning.
