The name inspired by the King of Bluegrass, Jimmy Martin's song "Theme Time", Mood Time was written on 5-string banjo. When Playboy Swing was at the Recording Academy, NARAS had a meeting to decide where to place George McClure's latest album. They put him right next to Joni Mitchell, calling him "jazzy songwriter singer".
George McClure is an acclaimed writer and musician - author of "Variations On Theme", the first improvisation instruction book for 5-string banjo. Also "Iridescent Poppies and Lollipop Mommies", his can't-stop-reading-it narrative action autobiography. Published poet. Artist of five albums "Champagne Saturday (Alien Love)" ; Playboy Swing ; Freedom Train ; Dirty George ; and Playboy Swing 2.
