What if you only had a week to make short films with strangers?

Around the universe, multidisciplinary artists, amateurs and professional filmmakers are doing just that. Here's everything you need to know about the Kabaret Kino.

Created in 2001, comes from Kino Movement. It’s a creation lab of very few but very intense days where every participant has to make a movie in collaboration. Now there are more than 120 cells all over this planet, in different countries, in the 5 continents.

“Do well with nothing. Do better with little. But do it now!”

We can make films. The movement finds its roots in cinéma direct, a means of making films modestly, with fewer resources. There is no producer, no industry, no money but a very short time to pool means of production and make movies together. It resulted in films based more on feeling and intuition than theory. It’s cinema for the people.

During a Kino Kabaret, participants live, eat, and work together, each session is 48 hours. A Kabaret is one week, so 3 sessions.
