'Four Chapters about She, We, Women' is a video-based performance composed of four poems to form four chapters, which includes Chapter One: Pretend I am Medea; Chapter Two: Pretend I am Nora Helmer; Chapter Three: Pretend I am Virginia Woolf, and Chapter Four: Pretend I am myself. For me, performing these four females serves as a reflective journey, which poses questions such as, "Are female identities still constructed?" and "Who is defining women?" Additionally, I am interested in exploring how a monitor, a computer, and an iPhone interplay with my movement. In other words, how different mediums and poems illuminate one another is my impetus for this work.
