“Escapism is an art” is a collage style experimental video showcasing typographic design in cinematographic context. It is an exploration and documentation of street signs that use neon style light in their practice. Also, analysis of film titles and type narrative function in filmmaking.
The collage video-making process allowed me to explore various functions and techniques to manipulate type and to make it work in the sequence. As well as, manipulating other visual elements, that helped to create this movement through the storyline.
The concept of this work relates to a nostalgic feeling and journey through the city at night.
Escapism locks your bad memories and transfers you to a better place.
