It is a one-minute video that captures a series of computer code generated moving images and sound created via the platform of Processing. The inspiration comes from everyday life living in the nonstop chaos of downtown. My temple constantly hurts because of the trains and constructions. The code that I wrote instructs the computer to analyze a sound recording of the trains, and translate the amplitude and frequency to the movement of the image. The choice of using coding was to eliminate my subjective emotions but to let the computer translate the sound into the movement and embrace the unpredicatbility. Yet the result turned out to capture the crawling trains and created an image of a growing monster.
