Clivilius is an ongoing series of short-stories (known as the Clivilius Journals), about the colonisation of a new world, known as Clivilius. What is exciting and unique about this series is that each character tells the story of their own journey. This allows you, the reader, to experience the Clivilius world from different perspectives. While characters often participate in the same events, such as Karl, Sarah and Gladys from the scene you just heard in Karl’s first journal, they each have their own journal where they tell their own unique interpretation of the experience, including sharing their internal thoughts and feelings. They each see and experience certain aspects of the story that other characters might not. Sarah, Karl and Gladys were each doing something different before and after that scene. Reading each of their journals, will tell you what that something was and why they were at Luke Smith’s house. And was Luke’s voice real or only in Karl’s head? Only Luke’s journal will have that answer.

The stories are written for adults. Just like our own lives are filled with different people that share a wide range of experiences, emotions and values, so to, the characters in the Clivilius Journals are all unique. Is there action and adventure, yes. Is there science-fiction, yes. Is there drama and romance, yes. Is there crime, mystery and suspense, yes. There is so much in the Clivilius Journals for every reader to enjoy, and that’s what makes this series that much more exciting.
