Adrien Ursulet von TANZ Bielefeld hat sich einen Raum der Ausstellung "Antonius Höckelmann. Alles in allem" für seine Performance ausgesucht. Er sagt dazu: "Antonius Höckelmann's work is very powerful and dynamic, and I have to say that I was very touched to see such a sense of movement in immovable objects. Although if it was a real pleasure to go contemplate his work, I have to admit that I have been immediately seduced by this Room of women.
Surrounded by Judith und Holofernes (I and II), the Madonna, and all those powerful women, I felt suddenly small, humble, but also strangely seduced by this unreal circle of spectators. I could feel such power and sensuality coming out of them, that as a dancer, but also as a man, I felt the need to offer myself, human meal in the end of distorted goddess.
As I dance in the middle of them, I just let my body get distorted, pulled and torn, dragged in a never ending spiral. There was no conclusion, they just let me go in the same way as they took me. I gave myself, then I left, because I felt that the power coming out of those women deserved an offering."
