Welcome to The Museum of Antediluvian Artefacts located in the heart of post apocalyptic New York.
The year is 2146. The increasing effects of climate change have led to rising global temperatures. In addition to wide areas of equatorial land becoming too hot to support life, the ice caps and glaciers across the world have all melted, resulting in vast coastal submersions of cities and civilisations.
In order to preserve the past, to learn from it and to inform the future, New York has established a museum (the Museum of Antediluvian Artefacts), to house relics from the pre-flood era, to present the artefacts of the lost past world to the current generations, and to study and learn from these objects, with a view to regaining some of the lost knowledge and applying it to the new reality. The new nations are proud of their heritage, but much was lost in the cataclysms of the great floods, and much now is misunderstood and misinterpreted.
