THE SPORTS BUZZ ON THE AIR talks to Clifton girls basketball head coach Whitney Holdbrook after the Class 3A Clifton Lady Cubs crushed the Harmony Science Academy, 61-16, in a District 17-3A game Monday on Senior Night at the Clifton High Gymnasium in THE SPORTS BUZZ Game Of The Week.

In a contest rescheduled from last Friday due to the ice and snow winter weather event across Central Texas, Clifton (6-7 in district, 15-13 overall) jumped out to a commanding 15-5 first quarter lead and never looked back while cruising to victory. Despite the win, the fifth-place Lady Cubs entered the game eliminated from post-season possibilities and close out the regular season at playoff-bound West (11-2, 24-8) on Tuesday.
