Darrow Women's Basketball hosted the Navigators of Poughkeepsie Day in an HVAL matchup at D's House. Darrow posted a 55-26 win. Jabarria scored 18 points on 7/10 shooting, including a 3-pointer, while dishing out 5 assists. Fatoumata added 13 points and nabbed 9 rebounds while patrolling the paint effectively for much of the day. Fatou scored 15 points, including a 3-pointer, contributed 4 assists and had a passel of steals. Corrine nailed a 3 ball and played tough, aggressive defense. Sakina scored and had 4 rebounds, along with an assist. First-year Samantha played long minutes as the center and did a fantastic job - 2 rebounds, 3 steals only tell part of the story. Sydney was a leader on the floor - playing three of the five positions at various times - and she scored a nice basket. Eyram saw extended minutes, earned a trip to the free-throw line, and had 2 rebounds. Akosua and Ma'kea were excellent leaders and did a fantastic job in directing the defense through strong communication. Both players had 2 rebounds and completed 1 steal, as well. Darrow (6-2, 4-0)
