My name is Briana Goodchild. I’m from Brisbane, Queensland Australia and I would love to put forward my official submission for the She Calls Game Initiative.
I am a presenter and commentator who lives and breathes ball! I grew up playing, my sister plays for Australia and Duke College in the USA. I have worked in live TV, Kids TV, as a children’s sports gameshow commentator, as a host on NBL basketball chat shows and most recently as an official commentator for Basketball Queensland and the NBL 1 North League! I love storytelling and the emotional journey sport takes you on, and its that plus a bit of humour that I really try to bring out in my commentary. I’m an advocate for equality, especially in sport and think it needs to extend to our commentary benches also. I have a lot of experience and love co-commentating and working in a team dynamic. It’s a life goal of mine to commentate and present for international competitions and this is an incredible opportunity I would love to be considered for and can see myself being a part of.
