The Twins lineup was scary enough last year-they finished second in ops and led the majors in homeruns and then added Josh Donaldson and his 37 homeruns. They did add Rich Hill and Kenta Maeda so there is enough depth to go around from a starting pitching perspective. What the twins also have going for themselves is the schedule. Twenty games against the Tigers and Royals make up one third of the schedule-the Twins went 50-26 against their own division in 2019 and they also get to play against the Pirates. Equally important they avoid the perceived best teams in baseball, Dodgers, Yankees, Astros, Rays and A's. They will have to play Cleveland and the Indians still have Francisco Lindor. The offense is primarily the same as it has been for a team that has averaged 95 wins over the last 4 seasons.. The wild card in the division are the White Sox. Yoan Moncada is a young stud at third and Tim Anderson had a breakout season at shortstop last year. Eloy Jimenez has as much power in his bat as anyone. And they were real aggressive in free agency, adding Edwin Encarnacion, Yasmani Grandal, Dallas Keuchel, and Gio Gonzalez. The Royals and Tigers round out the division and given where they are in the tear-down and rebuild-they should provide a bunch of wins to the other 3 in the division.
