The concentrated and long-term efforts of the designers from studio 519 have just received gratifying feedback. The studio was awarded three Red Dots in the presti- gious Red Dot Design Award.
Studio 519 (formerly known as designcité+) has a wide scope of activities. It is not a design studio as such but rather a “think shop” where products are designed such as outdoor furniture, camping car assemblies or sports equipment (all that for the brand Egoé) but also where ideas are born which impact the public space. Specifically, the transport infrastructure, where they are implemented by the construction company mmcité+. These include bus and train station platform roofing or noise-reducing solutions for inhabited areas. Apart from these studio 519 creates communication con- cepts for its sister brands in the Bílovice compound in the region of Uherské Hradiště. The studio also publishes its own magazine 519 and organizes a multi-genre festival WiFič VEN!
