YIP's holistic education encourages participants to learn and explore questions with head, heart and hands. YIP believes that the global realities and challenges of our time can't be approached intellectually only. Understanding grows from an interaction between intellectual, emotional and practical processes. Therefore, the curriculum is built on the interaction between the inner world and the outer world. In the courses about Global Realities participants get to understand what challenges exist today. In the block about Inner Awareness a feeling for the question 'Who am I?' is at the center of learning. In the months of Collaboration and Personal Initiative, the participants are encouraged to bring the knowledge of the Global Realities and the sense of being oneself into a collective and personal initiative.
Here is Chi Fang (19) from YIP 12 who was curious: 'What is the relationship between water and freedom?'. As she will tell you in the video her approach to this question involved her head, heart and hands.
