When writing and preparing this film I took my inspiration from the concept of home learning, specifically during the pandemic and lockdowns and how the stress and anxiety of it may have impacted young people. During lockdown everyone was encouraged to stay connected and busy with trying new things, etc. but overall, it was a very lonely period of time for most, and with the stress of school work on top of that, it only added to the alienness of the situation we were in. For many young people, online learning was a very positive experience as it kept them busy and up to date with their schooling, however for many this was extremely difficult for their mental health and lead to extreme stress and anxiety. I wanted to dive in deeper to the repetitive, never-ending and anxious feeling this time of our lives gave us and produce my film in a way which embodies these emotions.
