COVID-19. We’re all now living in a time of great limitations. Ones that are necessary for all of us. But limitations have always been the place where artists thrive. Wolfgang Zac looked at the tools he had left and decided to create something new out of them. Something that reflected this moment we all find ourselves trapped in.

Welcome to the birth of the SCREEN SHOOT©.

Connecting with some favorite models, Wolfgang and his creative partner Claudia Delpin set to work. Location recces in the models’ homes, designing lighting and shoot rigs out of materials on hand, and wardrobe and styling was all done over phone cameras.

Then this pioneering concept came together at the computer screen. Technology and humanity, isolation and togetherness, shutdowns to something new being born. The undeniable human need to not just connect, but to create.

As Wolfgang said, “We’re still free to do what we’ve always done, we just have to forge new ways.”
