I assembled these clips in the order filmed to demonstrate my learning process. I start by playing with the object. Next, I discover how to control different aspects such as lighting, XY axis position, focus, and rotation. Finally, I complete the assignment. The last two clips are a mechanical penny slide with even spacing followed by a penny slide with ease-in and ease-out.
TASK: 1 second THE PENNY SLIDE (2 different ways)
Complete a penny slide with even spacing that moves almost mechanically.
Complete a penny slide with slow in and slow out, demonstrating a more natural movement.
If you're shooting on "2's" this will be 12 or 13 frames of animation. Animating on "1's" will need 25 frames of animation.
Additional Task: Set Up Home Studio
Test how it shoots, test the upload functionality on the community page and share an image of your set up!
Also start getting to grips with Dragonframe if you've never used it before. It can look daunting the first time you open it, but pretty soon you'll realise you only need to use very few of the functions it offers to animate professionally. Mark will be meeting with anyone this week if they need an introduction to Dragonframe.
